My name is Jennifer and I live in Faribault, MN with my boyfriend Bruce.
I have been blogging for almost 10 years. When I first started I was a couple years out of college, married and I was living in Wisconsin far away from my family and friends. I wanted an easy way to share my life with them and blogging seemed to be perfect. I could post pictures and share my adventures in one spot where everyone, in any state or country, could easily reach it.
Slowly I started adding posts about not just my activities and trips but scrapbook pages, travel adventures and recipes. I liked sharing my crafts, photography and adventures with the blogging world.
A couple years later I moved back to my hometown and got a divorce but I kept on with my blog because it was fun and all of my relatives across the country could still keep up with the family and me.
My family is large and it is very close. I am the oldest of 6 children. I have 2 sisters and 3 brothers. I have 3 Aunts on my Mom's side and 10 Aunts and Uncles on my Dad's side and too many cousins to count. Not to mention 7 nieces and nephews. Phew...that's a mouthful.
We are a close-knit family. We get together a lot. We are considered "strange" in today's society but in my mind we are special. Not a lot of family's are as close knit as we are and that's something to be celebrated. While I can't claim that we always get along we always stick together. So I post a lot about our get together's and what we do.
This blog just isn't about my family but it's also about things I love:
- Crafting
- Scrapbooking
- Cooking
- Baking
- Travel
Making Cookies
Peanut Butter Blossoms
Sewing
I can't just pick one thing to concentrate on. I can't just do a blog about baking, as much as I love it. I thought about picking one main hobby but I just can't. I like to do too many different things. That lead me to the decision to revamp my blog to concentrate more on my crafting, baking, cooking, photography and travel.
So welcome to the revamped blog and I hope you like it. Please feel free to leave any comments, suggestions or email me. I would love to hear from you.
Jen
