Making this card is easy as pie and you can use anything you've got in your stash. No need to buy special paper.
The supplies that I used for this. You can always substitute different colors or even patterned paper if you like.
- White card
- Kraft cardstock
- Brown stamping ink
- Black stamping ink
- Ranger Blending Tool
- Black Pen (Precision Pen from American Crafts)
- White cardstock (3x3")
- Traveling Typewriter font
- Foam dots
- Exacto Knife or cutting tool
Step 1: Cut your kraft paper to 4.5 x 6"
Step 2: Ink the edges of your kraft paper heavily with the brown ink using the blending tool. If you don't have a blending tool you can just rub the paper directly on the ink pad.
I rubbed the corners a bit thicker to give them the faux photo corner look.
Step 3: Lightly rub the blank ink along the edges to darken it slightly.
Step 4: Glue down your kraft paper onto your card. There should be a 1/4 inch edging of white visible.
Step 5: Print out "just a note" on a piece of 4x6 cardstock and then trim down to a 3x3" square.
Note: You can also use a stamp if you'd like.
Step 6: Draw black border on the "just a note" card. Underline the "a note" with 2 thick lines.
Step 7: Prior to glueing down your note square cut a small slit in the middle of the top line. This is where we'll put the push pin.
Step 8: Print out or stamp your push pin. Note: I happened to have a clear stamp that is a push pin so I used that. If you don't have a stamp or can't find an image to download and print you could also just use a piece of washi tape.
I stamped mine onto a piece of white cardstock and cut it out with my finger exacto knife.
Step 9: Put foam dots on the pin before inserting into your cut on the note square.
and you're done!
