Bullards Beach State Park - a nice pit stop along my road trip. I desperately needed to get out and walk around. I'd been cooped up in my car way too long. Plus I wanted to stop at some part of the Dunes.
A short windy drive to get to the ocean from Bandon.
The park service put in this grass to help with erosion. I think it gives the beach a nice contrast to the tan sand.
I have no idea who this little girl is but I took this picture because looking at her running with her arms flung was exactly how I felt inside. Complete joy and abandon. I wanted to run with my arms flung out toward the ocean in excitement.
This beach was completely different from the beaches I had encountered thus far on the Oregon coast. There were no huge rocks, or smooth black stones only hard-packed sand to walk on...with a few stones littered here or there.
Seeing the difference that only 50 miles could make in a coastline was amazing. Mountains, hills, rocks, driftwood, sandy beaches with dunes over a hundred feet tall. Fairly awesome.
