Ruby Beach was just a quick pit stop on my way to the HOH Rainforest. It was still raining but I stopped anyway. This beach was a bit different than the Kalaloch Beach even though they were maybe 15 miles a part. It was littered with black polished stones; some bigger than my feet, some bigger than my hands and some just pebbles. It made it difficult to walk around this beach as they were everywhere. There wasn't a real stretch of sand that was easy to walk on.
You had to walk down the path and onto the beach over a several driftwood logs. Bigguns too. Not a casual "lift your leg up 6 inches" but a hoist your leg up way above your hip and plant your butt on the log then swing your other leg over kind of walk.
Lots and lots of rocks. The tide was quickly coming in so I didn't spend much time on this beach. Plus it was raining fairly heavily.
This beach felt like a secluded rock land. A place that isn't well visited but a nice little spot to find some peace.
