"My and my shadow."
Generally I take "pretty pictures." Images that I think are beautiful which might always be beautiful to some people but that's okay. Everyone has their own preference and ideas of beauty. With that being said, this picture is very artistic, which is different for me. I don't go out taking pictures with too much thought. I generally think of the basics; composition and lighting but I don't get into the creative "meaning" of a photograph. In other words I'm not much of a photojournalist but in this picture I am.
I like the angles, how the shadows guilde the viewer's eyes from bottom to top (not traditional though, should be left to right or top to bottom but oh well, I don't always follow the "rules".). How the elongated shadows and how Jack is looking at them tell a story. It made me think of Peter pan and his shadow. It's like Jack's looking at his shadow saying, "Come 'on, let's go shadow." I like how Jack is so light in comparison to the darker shadows and other images. Keeps the focus on him. Any thoughts? Am I way off base, should I give my camera away to charity and try a different hobby (please say no because I have so much fun with it.).

Jack should be the dark one, since he is such a stinker. Like angels are in the light and naughty little boys are in the dark?
