More wedding pics and comments

Here are some pictures from Mom's camera.

Img_0597c

Heidi's expression (dark hair on the left) is priceless.

Img_0602c

I love this one of Kim and Tom. Too cute.

Img_0607c

This is one of my favorites. I told the guys, "You boys get down on one knee and look up at Kelly like she's the most beautiful creature on the planet. You're thinking, 'damn, Jimmy's a lucky b*stard.' " They did it too. It was fun although there were some whiners in the bunch. "My knees hurt." Yeah, okay, suck it up, it's only for a minute. The girls have to wear 3-4 inch heels for most of the day, I think you can handle some stairs for a minute.

Img_0621c

The fellas. Not sure what the hand waving was but it makes for an interesting picture. Nick was doin' the Dr. Evil more like Dr. Wacko. Did I mention he was so crazy at the dance that he split his pants near the butt? You could see his undies and his leg.

Img_0636c

There was a lot of smooching going on.

Img_0624c

Dad, Jimmy and Mom.

Img_0544c

This one is obviously blurry but isn't it hilarious? I call it "Runaway ringbearer!" That's Michelle in the pink skirt in the background.

Img_0562c

Here's one of me and my big rig of a camera with Ryley. He wanted to help take pictures so I let him aim the camera and push the shutter. He kept saying, "I want to take another one." It was cute. First he wanted a picture of his daddy then Chris then Jedi.

Okay, that's it for now.

Jimmy & Kelly Wedding Pictures!

Here are two pictures I took from Jimmy and Kelly's wedding.

Being that I'm nit-picky I can see several things I would have done differently but the lighting is okay so that's a good thing. I won't list what I see because that would be retarded and annoying.

I'm loving the wagon with the midgets in it.

League of Heroes II vs. Geneva

Our game went well last night. We won but I can't remember the score. I'll post it later.

Highlights: Chris hit a home run, I was 2 for 4, Kimmie caught everything that came to her, Nick was a superstar as usual, we had a mascot in our dugout (Ryley), Thomas was a machine...um that's all I can remember right now.

Here are some pictures that Jimmy took that were my favorite. There were a lot and it'll take me awhile to get the good ones corrected and uploaded so here is a sampling for now.

Img_6218c

Nick diving head-first into second base, as usual. I'm surprised he doesn't have permanent scratch marks on his legs and stomach.

Img_6250c

Thomas jumping for a pop-up. I call that "doing a Nick"

Img_6251c

Ah, he caught it.

Img_6308c

Kimmie flicking the ball to Tina at second.

Img_6314c

So you might wonder what is so exciting about this picture. Well I'll tell you. Jimmy took several pictures of people batting and everyone makes some sort of face when they hit the ball but no one and I mean no one sticks their tongue out like Ryan here. I'm not sure if he gets some sort of power from it or what. Does he use it to gauge the wind from the batter's box? Any ideas?

Img_6392c

Our mascot, Ryley. He looks pretty happy here despite the fact that we didn't have enough dirt in our dugout for him to make a castle.

Auntie Shelly's House

Here are some pictures of stuff that caught my eye out at Auntie Shelly and Uncle Tim's house tonight.

Img_8604c

The 'ole Farmall tractor steering wheel. Just seemed old and interesting. Yeah, I know, I find old tractors interesting I guess you know that I'm my father's daughter then. :) ('cept this one ain't a John Deere)

Img_8608c

Boomer taking a rest. He's looking at me like, "Woman, the f*ck are you doing?"

Img_8609c

Some old wheels laying against the machine shed. I love the repetition, the continuity, the sizing and the circles along with varying textures. Makes it sort of interesting, if you're into wheels of course.

Img_8612c

A couple of the horses out in the pasture with the old cow barn in the background. I spend many a year out in that pasture and in that barn. No pictures to prove it though. So does that mean it's like the proverbial tree in the forest? If I had no physical proof of working on the farm did it really happen? Does verbal proof from my Aunt and Uncle count, um...yeah. I should hope so. I busted my a$$ out there; milking cows, pitching sh*t, bailing hay, stacking hay, yada yada yada.

Img_8613c

Me and the Mouse out in the pasture. I'm on the right therefore she's on the left.

Img_8617c

Some random gladiolas growing in the pasture. They were so pretty and colorful next to all the weeds and mowed down grass.

Img_8623c

Tara and the little kitty.

Here's the money shot from the day. Tristan getting thrown in the pool. Look at his little ribs sticking out and his pants falling off. I have another picture, which I decided not to post, because it showed his little butt-cheeks too much and I don't need pedaphile's haunting this blog.

I like this one too. Not sure why, because it seems off-kilter, not normal, different perspective, different types of fireworks...I don't know just different. :)

Img_8463c

The bottom fireworks reminds of the winter wheat Dad will occasionally plant.

Img_8464c

I love this one. I like the different colors, textures and the star bursts.

Ryley the road warrior, flag carrier and general entertainment of the evening. He's too cute. Hey Ryan, how'd you get so lucky?

Img_8468c

Ryley and Ryan on the Bandit.

Img_8469c

Kimmie and Krysta waiting for all of the traffic to leave the fairgrounds. Yeah, instead of trying to get into the massive line of cars we decided to sit and enjoy ourselves. We only waited about 10-15 minutes. It was a beautiful night, albeit a hair chilly, but for me, perfect. I believe this phrase came out of my mouth several times, "It doesn't get much better than this."

Yes, life does not get much better than sitting at the fairgrounds playing games, talking with friends and enjoying the fireworks on a gorgeous day. :)

M&M's

So this isn't the most exciting thing on the planet and yes I'm aware that it's not literarily riveting nor conducive to you continuing to read this post to start out like that but did you know you can put pictures on M&M's now? Sweet huh? (no pun intended)

Mm_2

You can put your face on it, your eye ball, a picture of your dog, whatever you would want to (I'm sure nudity is forbidden).

I just thought that was neat. Not that I'm going to go out and put my face on an M&M because I'm sure it's not cheap. I just thought it was neat.

Here's the site, in case you are interested. M&M's

daily something pics

some of my latest daily something pics.

51108_sunday_softball

5.11.08 "Sunday Softball" - my cousin Tara hitting the ball at the Diamonds during her game. Sorry about the bad timing. Wish I could have gotten a shot of her making contact.

51208_bedroom_eyes_2

5.12.08 "Bedroom Eyes #2" -Just one of me laying in my bed. Maybe I should title it "look into my eyes!" I read in a book once that when a woman gives a guy the "googly eyes" you know, trys to turn on the charm using a look like this one, it's called "turning on those blue headlights" or something like that. Feels appropriate here, doesn't it?

I like to take pictures of me when I'm actually wearing my contacts which isn't often. Taking pics of people who wear glasses, my self included, isn't easy. I'm hoping you're distracted by the eyes to not notice the no make-up un-even skin-tone issue. I seriously considered going b&w for this one.

Well, okay, here it is.

51208_bedroom_eyes_2bw

Not too bad either. Anyways, I took this picture because I didn't take a picture of me in my black dress skirt, black tights and black high heel pointy-toed shoes. I forgot to take that picture. See I don't wear skirts very often. They are a nuisance. I have to remember to keep my legs closed or crossed, movement isn't as easy and the inevitable wearing of tickets that make my legs itch. Anyways, I think I've spent entirely too much time on narcissim for the evening. Can I just say one last thing...my legs looked pretty hot in that skirt though. :)

51308_suicculent_florida_oranges

5.13.08 - "Succulent Florida Oranges" - don't they look juicy, scrumptuous, mouth-watering, sweet? Oh yeah. They were. Fresh oranges I had sent up from Venice, Florida (on the gulf coast south of Tampa). Oh so sweet...just like me. :) LOL

51408_thomas_on_concentration

5.14.08 "Thomas on Concentration" aka Thomas playing expert on Guitar Hero on Wii. He's pretty serious about his playing. He's wicked fast too or as I say "crazy."

Arizona Photo Album

I've been working on getting some images loaded from my trip to Arizona in February with my cousin Traci. Here are two days of images that I had finished. I'll do more later but I figured I might as well get up what I have. The first day was basically traveling and going to the Scottsdale Arabian Show in Scottsdale, AZ (right outside of Phoenix). The second day Traci and I traveled to the Grand Canyon. It was an awesome day. It really was. A beautiful clear sky, around the low 40's which was chilly but I wore a t-shirt, sweatshirt and a stocking hat and was fine. Most people have winter coats on including Traci because it was cold. There was some lingering snow on the grounds. It was a perfect day for sightseeing the Canyon.

So click on this link. Arizona 02.08

Here's an image of the Colorado River I thought Traci would like. Her favorite pictures are ones where you can see the river and made it all. :)

Latest project365/daily something pics

Just thought I'd post some of my latest Project365/Daily Something pictures. Those titles probably make no sense but they are the same thing. I take at least one picture everyday. Somedays it's quite a bit more and somedays it really is only one picture. So I call that my daily something. A picture of whatever is going on that day or if there is nothing going on I choose an object or some glimpse of me. I post them in a photography album on the left (click on daily somethings image) and in my Project365 album in flickr. (click on flickr link) Project365 is a flickr (photography site) group where you post a pic everyday. It's a great site for inspiration and help on how to do new tricks and camera settings.

So...

5608_intense

5.6.08 "intense" - not a particularly good shot of my nose, in fact, it looks huge but I lke the yes and the shiny hair. That's nice. It's not really easy to get an appealing picture of yourself by yourself. :) Well, maybe if you look like a model or something.

5708_happy_baby

5.7.08 "happy baby" - She looks chipper. Love the red cheeks and sparkling eyes. They really are sparkling. I love that. Thank you natural light. :) This is a happy baby before I tried feeding her peaches which she detests.

5808_dad_welding

5.8.08 - "Dad Grinding" - I snuck out and took a picture of Dad playing with his toys. Unfortunately he saw me coming so I wasn't as sneaky as I thought. In case you're wondering I am at a safe distant so as to avoid the hot sparks. I don't get many chances to capture Dad in his element so this one is kind of special.

50908_up_periscope_matey

5.9.08 - "up periscope matey" Jack's new playground complete with a periscope so he can spy on the neighbors. :) I love how he's up on his tippy-toes, both hands on the periscope and daddy is trying to peek too.

51008_dancing_queen

5.10.08 - "dancing queen" - that's Gracie. We were scrapbooking in the basement and I attached my ipod to the speaker system so we could have some tunes. We were playing some bouncy stuff, singing and dancing and she was sitting there wiggling her feet and toes and squeaking sometimes like she was trying to sing too. It was cute. So Michelle got up and danced with here and she loved that. She was blowing raspberries which is her sign for being happy.  :)

New Toys

I got some new toys to play with last night thanks to my bro, Jimmy. He bought a huge flash for my camera, a Canon 580x ii Flash and a tripod and umbrella stand. Oh yeah. I can't wait to play with it. Well, I did play with it a little last night but I don't have a cord to attach from my camera to the flash on the tri-pod so I couldn't really play with it but I will. It's exciting. :)
