Christmas Limerick

I'm dreaming of a White Christmas,

the beautiful snow is a plus.

thick wet snow ball snow,

just ready to throw.

can't wait to hear my family cuss.

I'm leaving on a jet plane, don't know when I'll be back again!

I love singing part of that song when I go somewhere. It's so fitting except for the "don't know when I'll be back again." I do know because I booked my ticket already...but that's beside the point. LOL

I'm going to San Jose, CA to spend some time with my Aunt and on the coast. We've got our plans all set. It sounds exciting and fun and relaxing. Ahhh....I can feel the stress layers being peeled away as we speak.

I'm feeling inspired right now so check this out.

Leaving for Cali Limerick

I'm flying to Cali today,

visiting my Aunt near the Bay.

Gonna eat fresh seafood,

and improve my mood.

Will I come back home? I just may.

Wow...that was retarded. ah well...I'm out of practice.

Should I try a rap instead? hmm...I'm not good at that either. I'll give it whirl...because I feel like I should at least try it because I just wouldn't the other night (sorry!)

I'm flying to Californi-ay today, gonna be stayin' by the Bay, strollin' along the way eating some See's Can-day, hangin' with my Auntie Kay, relaxin' all day, what more do I need to say? This rap is so gay. Help me please, okay?

Hump Day Post

It's Wednesday, Hump Day, the middle of the week. Blah blah blah.

I can't think of anything good, funny, witty, crazy or otherwise interesting to say. No fun facts, no jokes, no insights into human nature, no deep and riveting conversation starters, no BS...heck I don't even have any pictures to post....It's just one of those days. It's cloudy and gray outside which is sort of influencing my mood right now. Shit, I'm being a sheep to the weather. Better nip that in the bud.

Okay, how about a hump day poem to liven me up?

Let's call it Just one of those Days

Today is just one of those days,

where nothing seemed to amaze.

time to get out of the rutt,

and nip this bad attitude in the bud,

before I let it ruin my day.

TGIF

Thank God It's Friday! Seriously. This week has dragged on for me, not sure why. It just has.

So with that in mind I'm excited for my 3-day weekend. Woohoo! Not really sure what's going on other than I'm going to the State Fair on Monday for half a day. I'm going to walk directly to the Big Fat Bacon stand and get a piece of bacon. :) (drool) Sex in a skillet baby. :)

Um...Well, I think my party is this weekend but I don't know when. (insert wicked grin)

Looking forward to...and a Limerick

I hate Mondays. They suck. They mean the weekend is over and it's the start of another work week. Yuck. Granted I love my job but still, it's work. There are so many things I'd rather be doing than working. That being said here are the things I'm looking forward to this week:

• My Mom's Birthday Dinner tonight. Should be fun to have the family together. Should be friggin' loud too, as always. Too bad I couldn't get some youtube videos on this blog then you'd get the idea. Of course you'd probably stop reading this blog then. and the Closer on TNT.
• Softball on Tuesday-our last game (sigh...sad.) Our most important game too because we are playing the dreaded/hateful rival team. We have to beat them. HAVE TO! They are a bunch of jerks but still, I'm excited.
• Olmsted County Fair on Wednesday - Strawberry smoothies, need I say more? Fair food? checking out the projects. animals...fun times will be had.
• Thursday-not sure yet but since the possibilities are open I'm excited. A possible bike ride on the Bandit...?
• Friday, Saturday and Sunday-not sure yet but that's promising.

I've got some pictures to post tonight so that's exciting.

Pinochle, drinking and a new limerick

I'm playing pinochle and doing a little bit of drinking tonight. Oh yeah. I've been looking forward to it all week. I'm super excited! As in Christmas morning-opening presents excited. As in I just got a bonus at work excited. As in I could feel some cold on my lip & chin the other day excited.

I'm trying to post a picture with every post so here's an old one of one my very bad pinochle hands that was probably dealt to me by Thomas.

Let's hope I don't get any hands like this one. Or I'll be swearing more than little Kimmie does around Jamie.

There are a few things that I know will come true tonight. As in it happens every time I get to play cards:

a. Thomas will deal badly.

b. Kimmie will swear like a drunken sailor. Every 4th word will be F*ck.

c. Jamie and Thomas will be partners, b/c that's how it always ends up eventhough we do a random draw for partners.

d. I will call somebody a hag...more than once.

e. I will tell Kimmie to, "pay attention."

f. Kimmie will yell at me for chastising her.

g. I will have a big smile on my face.

h. Aunt Kathy will see this blog post and be jealous.

i. I will be drinking, not to get drunk, just feel good. :)

j. Somebody will get set. (they always do)

Okay that's enough of that. We'll end on J 'cause that's the first letter of my name. What better reason?
