This is called Billie's Italian Cream Cake I snatched it from the Pioneer Woman's blog

OMG! It is so tasty. I mean really good. I mean like an orgasm-its-so good. Seriously. Your taste buds explode with pleasure. It's that good. If you have never eaten this cake, you should.

I made it tonight from scratch. Yeah the whole thing...from scratch. The cake and the frosting too...I'm not going to tell you what's in it or you won't even try it...and by that I mean calorie-wise.

Just try it. It's fairly simple to make. Not too complicated.

Weekend Update: Pictures

Just an update with tons of pictures from my weekend.

Keddy with Gus Gus the rabid, crazy, constantly wetting himself doggie. LOL He peed a couple times in the house when we were there. He gets so excited he wets himself. LOL

Went to Busker and Jedi's for the second half of the game. LtoR: Busker, little Kimmie and of course me.

A huge-ass pumpkin in the garden surrounded by some other ghords. I am going to have so sweet kick-ass pumpkins to carve. Oh yeah!

My Le Creuset pot...I got it today. Oh yeah! I'm so excited I'm going to do a Gus Gus and wet myself. Now I can make Beef Bourginone. Well, in all fairness I could have made that dish before but somehow I just didn't want to without this cast iron red-headed beauty. Oh yeah...bring on the beef stew. It's going to be tasty for 4 reasons. 1. I am a good f'in cook. 2. I have this lovely pot and 3. I'm going to get really good beef from Byerly's. 4. It's got bacon in it...nothing is bad that has bacon in it.

Because sometimes I'm a little OCD here is a picture of the lid with Le Creuset in it. :)

Isn't it beautiful? I think so. My mom thought I was crazy to ask for this as a gift. It was expensive but I figured why get a couple things that I could just buy myself. Why not ask for something nice that I really want and will use constantly.

Tomato Soup -PW Style

 

Sherried Tomato Soup...doesn't this look tasty? Well it is tasty. I was craving it after my kickboxing class so I decided to make it. It's not your normal tomato soup. It has chunks of tomato in it and a lot of flavor. It's soooo good. Be really careful with the basil though that stuff packs some punch and can easily overpower your soup if you aren't careful.

Canning Pickles

Cucumbers...fresh from the garden.

put a little onion in the bottom, a clove of garlic, then the cucs, then some more onion, then some fresh dill from the garden then put the brinning sauce (vinegar, water, sugar, pickling salt boiled)

My in my, apparently sexy (according to a couple friends who are obviously crazy) workout gear canning.

This is Bruiser my Aunt's dog. He's a Chihuaha (sp?). He was my companion. He likes to like my legs and knees...not sure why dogs like to do that. Strange.

Refrigerator pickles. Damn they are tasty.

Camryn's 1st Birthday

I made that little baseball cake. Pretty cute eh? LOL Okay, so he just started by picking at the frosting.
Then he started digging in. Literally.

and he's about done here...Daddy needed a hose and a bath to clean this kid up.

Uncle Mark's 50th Birthday Party

Just thought I'd post a couple of pics.

 

He was totally, utterly and completely surprised. He absolutely had NO CLUE...but everyone else knew. LOL Aunt Debbie is laughign hysterically. It was so funny!

Major, Mondo, Uber, Maximum Update!

I've gotten the guilt trip several times so I figured today was the day to post some pics from the last oh...month maybe. I'll post as much as I can but it's going to be a lot so I might have update #1 tonight and update #2 tomorrow. :)

Last Sat I got to go in the pool with Jack for his "splashing lessons" He wasn't too thrilled about being in the pool. He didn't want to swim much at all. He kept whining until I let him jump off the edge into my arms. Then he didn't mind getting wet or going under water.

 

It snowed on 4/5/09 so I drove around and took some pictures because it was a wet heavy snow and that always looks pretty on the trees.

 

Some lovely old fencing...there's something about that old barb wire fencing that just gets me. It's the old stuff that is so interesting...it has character.

 

Tara's Birthday. Princess Pita decided she wanted to sit on my lap while I was playing cards. Good thing it didn't last long because she wanted to grab every card. LOL

 

Our Risk Board. I haven't played risk in a really long time. In fact I can't even remember playing it. LOL Chris is obsessed with it so I decided I'd play.

Thomas, Kimmie and Jamie at the Twinkie game on Wed. They won. It was awesome! Slowey pitched and we won 6-5, Nathan closed out the last inning. God he's a frickin' stud. I've give my first born for a date with him. LOL

 

Me and Jamie. I decided to wear my Twins cap because my hair looked like crap anyways. So at the game Morneau and Span both had homers. That was awesome! I sat next to some nice fellows from San Antonio and Panama City, FL. I was telling them all about the Twins and what to do in the Cities. I think I get my gift of gab from my mother. LOL

Superbowl 2009

Jimmy had a superbowl party at his house tonight. Wicked fun was had by all. We ate a ton of food too. Jimmy made homemade taco pizza. It was tasty.
