LOH II vs. ReMax

We won 9-5 last night. Yep, it was a good game. We didn't score as much as we normally do but the bats must have been on vacation or something. I did fairly well myself. I think I was either 2 for 4 or 3 for 4. Something like that, maybe a couple RBI's too. I can't quite remember. Yes, I have a horrible short term memory. Long term and anything to do with movie quotes, I'm all over it like white on rice (bees to honey, mosquitoes to blood...)

Highlights: Um...nothing much exciting happened. Ryan caught everything he could in the outfield and he got a lot of balls out there. In fact I called him a ball hog because he got so many. I didn't get anything except one hard grounder, boring.

Just to shake things up I'm going to tell you what I say while I'm out in the outfield. Granted, nobody can hear me, because I'm usually muttering to myself, unless Ryan has ears like a bat or is standing too close.

  • "Come on, hit one to me you SOB."
  • "Come on, I'm bored, hit one to me already. What are you scared?"
  • "Nice pitch Thomas!"
  • "Why don't you try hitting that fly ball to me you b$stard."
  • "Hit the f*cking ball girl. This is slow pitch. Walking isn't allowed unless the pitches are utterly and totally horrible."
  • "Come on Thomas! Take 'em yourself."
  • "Kimmie!"
  • "Come on ump, you're killin' me."
  • "Back up Ryan!"

Let's see what else. Thomas probably was 1.00 for batting, as usual. Makes me sick and causes Kimmie to say things like, "Mom loves Thomas more than me because he's got a .880 batting average). Nick ran the bases like he's an alcoholic running toward the bar for a drink after waiting all day.

Mom had a lot of hits and did a lot of running. Thought for a minute I'd have to get her a tank of air and a stretcher. jk :)

That's about it.

Tristy's Birthday Party (6)

Tristan is 6 years old. Man it seems like only yesterday I was wiping his butt.

Img_8698c

Here is the piglet cleaning himself off after dumping Traci's fruit punch on himself and her.

Img_8700c

Behold, my nephew the piglet. Who taught him how to eat pizza like that. Most definitely not me.

Img_8702c

Gracie the little sailor-ette. She looks confused.

Tatum or Trinity, I'm not sure which one (sorry) going to town on that sucker.

Traci and Talon making faces. it was cute. I just look at this and my mouth opens up into an "ooohhhhh!" - Minnesota-style.

More wedding pics and comments

Here are some pictures from Mom's camera.

Img_0597c

Heidi's expression (dark hair on the left) is priceless.

Img_0602c

I love this one of Kim and Tom. Too cute.

Img_0607c

This is one of my favorites. I told the guys, "You boys get down on one knee and look up at Kelly like she's the most beautiful creature on the planet. You're thinking, 'damn, Jimmy's a lucky b*stard.' " They did it too. It was fun although there were some whiners in the bunch. "My knees hurt." Yeah, okay, suck it up, it's only for a minute. The girls have to wear 3-4 inch heels for most of the day, I think you can handle some stairs for a minute.

Img_0621c

The fellas. Not sure what the hand waving was but it makes for an interesting picture. Nick was doin' the Dr. Evil more like Dr. Wacko. Did I mention he was so crazy at the dance that he split his pants near the butt? You could see his undies and his leg.

Img_0636c

There was a lot of smooching going on.

Img_0624c

Dad, Jimmy and Mom.

Img_0544c

This one is obviously blurry but isn't it hilarious? I call it "Runaway ringbearer!" That's Michelle in the pink skirt in the background.

Img_0562c

Here's one of me and my big rig of a camera with Ryley. He wanted to help take pictures so I let him aim the camera and push the shutter. He kept saying, "I want to take another one." It was cute. First he wanted a picture of his daddy then Chris then Jedi.

Okay, that's it for now.

Jimmy & Kelly Wedding Pictures!

Here are two pictures I took from Jimmy and Kelly's wedding.

000l0631

000l0583

Being that I'm nit-picky I can see several things I would have done differently but the lighting is okay so that's a good thing. I won't list what I see because that would be retarded and annoying.

I'm loving the wagon with the midgets in it.

Jimmy and Kelly are Married!

Oh yeah! My bro tied the knot. He's a married man now. In our family we now have two Mr. and Mrs. James Harbal. That could get confusing unless we say Jimmy or...Jimmy's middle initial is W and Dad's is C, we could call Jimmy "W" but as I'm not a republican or a fan of Bush we'll let that one go.

I took a ton of pictures all of which are on Jimmy's laptop in Duluth at this moment. So...I don't have any to post but once I get some I'll post them if it's okay with Jimmy and if he's still talking to me after looking at them. (sigh) I'll peruse Mom's pics tonight and will post any good ones tonight.

The wedding was awesome! It went very fast but I had a good time. Kelly was beautiful. (hey groomsmen, she was the most beautiful creature in the world on Saturday!) Yes, I drank a bit, nothing extravagant, no hangover the next day but generally I don't 'cause I'm not a drunk.

I danced until I got blisters on my toes. Yes, I take my shoes off, it's just easier and I stay cooler, although I was sweating to beat the band. I don't know how the groomsmen and ushers handle all that tux clothing. Whooaahhh! I danced with my brother and sister-in-law, danced with my little sister to "Everything Thing I Do I Do It for You" by Bryan Adams and sang the whole song (she did too), shook my booty quite a bit, laughed at my Dad...the usual.

The funniest part was our reception table. It was me, Thomas, Michelle, Guy, the kidlets, Mom and Dad and we banged on our plates and glasses several dozen times (yes, our table was the pesky one making all the clinging raquet trying to get them to kiss. Hilarious!). We were incessant, pesky, annoying (we were glared at by the other guests quite a bit) but Jimmy didn't mind. He really got into kissing his bride. :) "Get a room!"

Rice County Fair

me, Kimmie, Traci, Mom, Dad, Jimmy, Kelly, Stacy and Heidi went to the Rice County Fair last night. It was a beautiful night to go, not too hot, a tad bit breezy, not too busy and the food was good. (good being a relative term if you like greasy, expensive, fattening fair food.) :)

We ate (duh), checked out the fair projects, ooh'd and aah'd over the animals (passed on the goats and piggies though-nothing exciting there), did a little bingo-ing (Kim's still fuming about losing) and bashed each other in bumper cars (Dad was going down). Overall, a very fun evening.

One of the best parts of the evening actually didn't come at the fair though. We were driving there and back and Kim, Traci and I sang Nickelback songs and Baby Got Back all the way. God it was hilarious. All of us, sqashed into the backseat singing, all the friggin' words. It was one of those moments I've got imprinted in my memory. Mom and Dad in the front cringing because we were off-key half the time.

Img_0493c_2

For some reason I keep wanting to title this one "Walk this Way" then I start singing the Aerosmith song. Me, Kimmie and Traci from the back. Not sure we'll get many dates showing men this picture though. :)

Img_0497c_2

Kimmie HAD TO SEE a Jersey calf, "cause they are the cutest," she says.

Img_0498c_2

Traci's favorite, a belted Galway. She wanted to take one to the fair but we don't know anybody that has one and they are expensive to buy.

Img_0501c_2

Kimmie says, "Oh! Is that a petting zoo? Oh!! Can we stop?" I say, non-chalantly, "Yes, Kimmie, we can stop."  So she immediately heads over to the food machines so she can feed them.  Traci says, "She's such a kid at heart." Too true.

Img_0509c

Here is my favorite, a Highland Calf. Man they are cute. There was some not so cute looking animals though. Traci and I said as we walked by this shifty looking camel, "Um...he looks dangerous, let's keep walking."

Img_0519c_2

Me looking crazy with my free hibiscus hair clippy I got from the Hawaiian shaved ice stand.

Img_0520c_2

Me with my $10 winning bingo card! yeah! that was nice. I bought everyone the next game and ended up winning that one too. We only played two games and I won both. Damn Kimmie was ticked at me. She just glared so I called her my "bingo troll." LOL

Img_0525c

Kimmie and I taunting Dad in bumper cars. "Hey Dad, we're coming, are you quaking in your boots?" "Dad, we're watching you!" "Dad, you're going to be nothing but road kill." "Hey Ma, take some pictures!"

So there was this little girl that we were watching in a bumper car before it was our turn and every time she'd hit someone she'd throw her hands up and screech (like Gracie does). She must have been substituting bumper cars for a rollercoaster or something. Every time, didn't matter how hard she hit or got hit, she'd do it. It was hilarious. We were just standing on the sidelines laughing our tushies off.

**Note: Kim and I saw the hottest Carnies at this fair. Seriously, usually they look nasty and scraggly and ugly but these guys were clean, polite and HOT! Why can't we get them at our fair?

League of Heroes II vs. Geneva

Our game went well last night. We won but I can't remember the score. I'll post it later.

Highlights: Chris hit a home run, I was 2 for 4, Kimmie caught everything that came to her, Nick was a superstar as usual, we had a mascot in our dugout (Ryley), Thomas was a machine...um that's all I can remember right now.

Here are some pictures that Jimmy took that were my favorite. There were a lot and it'll take me awhile to get the good ones corrected and uploaded so here is a sampling for now.

Img_6218c

Nick diving head-first into second base, as usual. I'm surprised he doesn't have permanent scratch marks on his legs and stomach.

Img_6250c

Thomas jumping for a pop-up. I call that "doing a Nick"

Img_6251c

Ah, he caught it.

Img_6308c

Kimmie flicking the ball to Tina at second.

Img_6314c

So you might wonder what is so exciting about this picture. Well I'll tell you. Jimmy took several pictures of people batting and everyone makes some sort of face when they hit the ball but no one and I mean no one sticks their tongue out like Ryan here. I'm not sure if he gets some sort of power from it or what. Does he use it to gauge the wind from the batter's box? Any ideas?

Img_6392c

Our mascot, Ryley. He looks pretty happy here despite the fact that we didn't have enough dirt in our dugout for him to make a castle.

Jimmy's Surprise Welcome Home Party

So we planned a little "get together" for Jimmy on Sunday at Michelle's house. Invited friends and family over to eat dinner and just hang out together. It was a lot of fun. We chatted it up, ate walking tacos, watermelon and ice cream cake from DQ (yummy!), played outside (it was absolutely beautiful, slightly windy but I didn't mind).

Here are some pics, unfortunately I was negligent and didn't get one of Jimmy. Um...whoops, yeah, take me out back, beat me with a wet cane and pack me off to prison.

Img_8646c

Gracie and Grandpa. Look at her cute bunny tail, chubby legs and baby belly, wait there's two baby belly's. Hey Dad, when are you due?

71308_baby_bunny

Here's Princess Fatcheeks/Mistress Crabby Pants/Piglet/Gracers whatever nickname you choose in the bunny costume from the Bach. party. Pretty cute eh? I think so.

Img_8657c

Dad hauling around Jack, Ryley and Nick in the wagon. It was funny. The kids just loved and Nick and Dad too. So I guess I could have left it at "the kids just loved it."

Img_8659c

There are the kids now. They look like they are having a ton of fun; going over speed bumps, doing figure eights, going off-road. Oh yeah, I hopped in that wagon at one point too.

Img_8660c

Here's Dad in the bunny ears. You know we have the most fun with the cheapest stuff. I think these ears (along with the tail and bow-tie) were like $2 at the dollar store, maybe not even that much. :)

Img_8664c

Here's Ryley and Jack playing with the cars toys. They were racing each other (well, me too) and occassionally getting into a spat about who was playing with what toy. Jack at one point tried to bite Ryley. Lovely, I was hoping he would get over that phase by now.

Gracie was sitting there by the wall just watching the boys. When she couldn't see them she'd lean over and almost tip over trying to get a look. It was cute.

Kelly's Bachelorette Party

Here are a couple pics from the Bachelorette party on Saturday night. We started at Michelle's house, played a couple games, then went to Wanted at the Lakeville Cinema, dinner at Chianti Grill in Burnsville and then barhopped our way back to the bonfire at Grandma's.

Img_8628c

Here's the bride to be, Kelly. She's wearing some playboy bunny ears and a bow-tie and her official name for the evening as "Princess." She even had a crown to wear. Michelle, Kim and I assigned stripper/hooker names for each guest. We had Bunny, Muffy, Candy, Lolita, Franchesca, Natasha, Buffy, Heather...that's all I can think of.

Img_8627c

What'a a bach. party without some sexy lingerie, from Auntie Sheila. Kelly looks a little embarassed...you think? That's pretty cute though.

Img_8632c

Here's our group: Jack (not really), Michelle, Traci, Sheila, Ashley, Heidi, Stacy, Kelly, Kimmie, me and Mom and Gracie.

Img_8636c

Here's our "naughty" one. That's a lot of butts for one picture. :) Looks more like a police line-up than a bach. party. Ah well, you win some you lose some.

Img_8640c

Here's Traci at dinner.

Img_8641c

Here's Kimmie half in the bag after one Cosmo. Yeah, I was 3/4 in the bag after my drink then I got a glass of Riesling. Woah was I drunk. Felt good actually. I had a lot of liquor that night but you know what. I didn't puke and didn't have a hangover either. I was just tired, so overall, pretty good night.

Auntie Shelly's House

Here are some pictures of stuff that caught my eye out at Auntie Shelly and Uncle Tim's house tonight.

Img_8604c

The 'ole Farmall tractor steering wheel. Just seemed old and interesting. Yeah, I know, I find old tractors interesting I guess you know that I'm my father's daughter then. :) ('cept this one ain't a John Deere)

Img_8608c

Boomer taking a rest. He's looking at me like, "Woman, the f*ck are you doing?"

Img_8609c

Some old wheels laying against the machine shed. I love the repetition, the continuity, the sizing and the circles along with varying textures. Makes it sort of interesting, if you're into wheels of course.

Img_8612c

A couple of the horses out in the pasture with the old cow barn in the background. I spend many a year out in that pasture and in that barn. No pictures to prove it though. So does that mean it's like the proverbial tree in the forest? If I had no physical proof of working on the farm did it really happen? Does verbal proof from my Aunt and Uncle count, um...yeah. I should hope so. I busted my a$$ out there; milking cows, pitching sh*t, bailing hay, stacking hay, yada yada yada.

Img_8613c

Me and the Mouse out in the pasture. I'm on the right therefore she's on the left.

Img_8617c

Some random gladiolas growing in the pasture. They were so pretty and colorful next to all the weeds and mowed down grass.

Img_8623c

Tara and the little kitty.

Here's the money shot from the day. Tristan getting thrown in the pool. Look at his little ribs sticking out and his pants falling off. I have another picture, which I decided not to post, because it showed his little butt-cheeks too much and I don't need pedaphile's haunting this blog.
