Softball - Co-Ed - vs. Borchardt's

We played a hard game with Borchardt's. They were hitting like champions and we were not. We kept up with them for about 5 innings then they 10-runned us. It was sad. I had an error out in the outfield. I was embarassed because it was an easy popfly and I screwed it up. I was so pissed because if I would have caught it we might have been able to go another inning. So...I was pissed.

I was 1 for 2. I hit a really good hard grounder past the pitcher and then flew out to right center field. I always hit to where they are standing. How rude. LOL There is a magnet in the ball or I'm performing a public service. I haven't decided yet. LOL

Softball - Women's vs. Waseca

We played this team that was a bunch of ladies that are older and have been playing together for ages. It was awesome. They are a fun group and very competitive without being obnoxious. I like that. Those are the team that are the most fun to play.

It was definitely a close game too. We ended up winning 18-12 but it was a lot closer than that. At one point we were tied 12-12 and ended up scoring a bunch of runs to get ahead. I believe that was the 6th or 7th inning. We had a lot of fun and had some good hits too.

Kelli on our team hit an in the park homer. The ball bounced once then hit the fence. That is seriously sweetness right there. That's about 300 feet. She hit it so hard it was insane. I told her, "Kelli you fucking tattoo'd that ball!" She was so excited and I was happy for her because she has not been hitting like herself.

I went 3 for 4 with two singles and a double with one run scored. I had a good night. I don't think I had any RBI's because everytime I got up the bases were clear or one runner on first. Ah well. I had one catching error out in the outfield but I made this sweet diving catch so that was fun. I like getting a little dirty. :)

I think. I'm not positive but Kimmie was 2 for 4 with a nice hard liner and a choppy grounder to third. She was playing smart. Their 3rd basemen was not good at all. She was mad because she wasn't happy with her hitting at all. She sounds like me. LOL

Softball: Week 4 - Double Header

We lost both of our games last night. It was heartbreaking. It really was. The first one was against a team that is so good if you score one you automatically get 4 points so you are actually at 5. It's weird. In all honesty they aren't any better than we are, they were just hitting the ball better. We've hit the ball well in the past too, just not last night. I think nerves kicked in.

I played really well. I had a couple good catches in the outfield and I threw a girl out at second. They made me mad because they'd hit it out to the outfield and then kind of trot to second like they could do whatever they wanted. I'm like hell fucking no you don't! Don't be assholes and play like our team can't beat you. So I threw her out then they weren't so cocky. Bitches.

I went 2 for 3 with a single and a double. I beat the throw to first base on a hard grounder to short then I burned the left-center fielder and got a double. I got an RBI on that double and then I ended up scoring too in that inning.

The second game was almost a bigger heartbreak because we were losing 5-0 until the 4th inning then we pulled ahead to 10-9 then we went back and forth and ended up tieing it up in the 7th 14-14 so we went into extra innings but they ended up beating us like 17-14 or something. This week was not good for softball.

I had three awesome catches in the outfield and didn't make an error. One of them was a liner than I had to drop to my knees to catch because it dropped down on me at the last second. Got burnt a couple times though because those chicks can hit the ball. It's awesome! Seriously those chicks can wail on it. It's insane. I love playing women's league.

I went like 3 for 5 with 3 singles and I think 2 runs and a couple RBI's. It was a good night. I hit a hard grounder to short and beat the throw, burned the left-center fielder and had a nice line drive down first base line. It was pretty good. I was happy with how I was hitting. Getting some nice mix of grounders, flys and liners plus I was hitting them all in different spots so they never knew where I'd go.

Back at it: Scrapbooking Art Journal

I did a couple scrapbook pages yesterday. Yes, it's been a very long time. I, to tell you the truth, have not been in the mood and when I'm not in the mood there is no point in forcing the issue because then I'd be wasting my time.

Operation 20: Myself in 3 words: Tenacious, Creative and Passionate. Those are the very first words that came in my head. The very first. I couldn't even think of anything else.

Tenacious and creative are basically self-explanatory but passionate I think I want to explain. I mean passionate as in I feel passionate about things; my family, love, life, photography...stuff like that.

Um...I'm loving this picture of my eyes too. I've been looking for a reason to use it. The first word I think of when I see it is provacative, second; intense, 3rd; "I want you to want me...." (bonus points if you know the song and band who sings it)

Operation 24: Water - Nothing exciting here. I just love this picture of the Gulf from Siesta Key in Sarasota, FL. the Journaling is simple it just says, "Paradise. I love the ocean...the smell, the feel the sounds...water*seashore." Nothing soul-searching or intense.

Operation 25: Play - The journalling says, "Things that make me laugh, enjoy life, play, have fun and smile."

"my niece and nephew, a new friend, my fam., a good movie, a witty joke, vacations, feeling good, pinochle, a bike ride (motorcycle), my ipod, taking a good picture, mini  golf and the Twins." those were the first things in my head.

So then there is Elise's weekly challenge. I love the challenges she gives. The words always seem to give me really good ideas or I think to journal something that I normally don't. Isn't that what it's all about?

Yeah, it's kind of crazy but I was excited for spring so I used a lot of color and flowers and a bit of craziness because I have the winter blues or whatever it's called.

Spring, bring it on baby.

Operation 12: Luck

Click on the image to see a close up. The Journalling says "Vegas was a lucky place for me. My family & I went to the Price is Right at Bally's and I was chosen to spin the big wheel and I won $250 cash! It was so awesome. Seriously cool! I could barely think straight and I couldn't see because the lights were so bright. I'll never be so excited again."

Operation 11: Habit

Journalling says "This year I've started a new habit. I joined Flickr, an online photo sharing site and I joined a group called Project365. A group that posts a picture everyday. I take a picture everyday." My new habit.

Elise's Challenges

Elise's paper adventure challenges for the last couple of weeks were:

Operation 10: Got Talent, list a talent you believe to possess. Toughy, really but as I'm infatuated with Photography I chose that. I love to do it and believe I take good pictures. I do have a lot to learn but I'm on my way.

I used some different papers here: Wild Asparagus is the black patterned and blue strip on the left. Elsie's Line for the camera strip and some American Crafts white spongey letter stickers. I used Luxe circle rub-ons as well.

Operation 9: Take it or Leave It

I wrote down a piece of advice that a very good friend of mine once told me and it's so true. Read the Layout to find out.

Pat was my senior by about 30 years when I worked at the Law Firm during College. We would go on bike rides and go to the movies together. She was a great friend and mentor. I miss her so much. She was a delightful boss and a wonderful friend.

Operation 6: Color

I took a couple pictures of some stuff in my room that were colorful.

Random Scrapbooking

I stole some time last night to do some quick 'n dirty scrappin'. I haven't done it in awhile. I've been in a scrapbooking drought. Yeah, that's right, a drought. I'm so dry I'm a prune, a raisin, a dried piece of fruit. Let's face it I'm more fruity than say beef jerky or something. :)
