Fall Adventure Mini Book 2011

I finished my Fall Adventure Mini Book during the scrapbooking retreat up in Nisswa and I'm finally going to post them.

This is the book. A 5x7 or thereabouts board book that I painted red and added an apple on the cover. I'm probably going to put a title on the front but I haven't yet figured out how I want to do it so I'm leaving it blank for now.

Front page. I used the wood grain heavy duty transparency and put some appropriate stickers on them. I was waiting patiently for the right moment to use that wood grain/bark transparency. This was perfect.

Here's a close up. The stickers are from Jillibean Soup. Love here collections. They are cute without being crazy and are easy to use.

Page 1. I love these apples. Since it was a fall adventure...and we went to the apple orchard I figured might as well have them front and center.

I started with a journaling page and the picture of our group.

The next section was picking apples. I love this picture because it shows a full grown red apple and smaller greenish one. I love the contrast.

Technically I messed up...this little bit of journaling should be on the next page but I messed up. Damn.

See what I mean. Thank "thankful" comment should be on this page. Damn.

The paper I used for the edging has names of different apple types on it. I thought that was cute. It's Jillipean Soup too.

I used three different kinds of paper to do the eding. The green paper that was checked, the paper with the different types of apples on it and some yellow polka dot paper.

 

I know the picture above is kind of blown out in the background but I really like it that way. It's warm and golden and feels like a picture from the 70's

sorry this one's blurry. I love that picture of Gracie's hands. it's cute.

Pumpkin picking. I didn't really mean to put the picture vertical and the journaling horizontal but I wanted to keep the order of the pictures this way.
