Chris Bought a Motorcycle (my bro)
So...Chris bought a 2003 (I believe) Honda Shadow (dude, if that's wrong write me a comment and I'll fix this post.)
My first initial reaction to Chris buying a motorcycle was worry. I worried that he would be recklass and do something to hurt or kill himself. Seriously. I know, I'm a big friggin' worry wart but I'm the oldest. The older I get the more I worry. It's a product of loving my family so much and being the oldest. Naturally I told him this and he said he understood and wasn't going to do anything stupid. Ooookay.
Okay, Chris I'm glad you are taking this seriously. Which he is. I've seen him on the bike and he acts very responsibly. He does. Seems weird for a middle born boy (yes I take too much stock in birth order) to not be reckless but he didn't even drive it home from the dealer because he was worried he didn't have enough experience so he enlisted a friend to help. That was very wise and surprised me a bit (yes Chris it did, sorry.) He goes slow and is working on country backroads (mostly tar) to learn how to speed up, slow down, negotiate corners and everything else. So...I am worrying less.
Now about the bike. He initially told me it was a cruiser so I pictured some big Hog (not Harley) with huge side-bags and just plain big and bulky. Not so, his is smaller but fits two people nicely. Um...yeah, I sat on it. It's comfy.
Pretty slick eh?
Here's the side view. And now to the funny parts.
This is our lovely Vanna White, whoops, I mean Ryan (Chris's friend) who was riding bikes with him today. He is pointing out Chris's windshield which, if you can't see and you might not, has some scratch marks. Yeah, those are compliments of Christles. He had to set his bike down twice. He wasn't going very fast so he's just got some scratches. I think it's all a part of learning how to ride. Heck I had to set down a dirt bike the first time I rode it. :) But, that being said, I'm still going to needle him about it. Why? Because he's my "little brother" and I'm the oldest. It's my job and ever-loving privilege. (insert evil maniacle laugh)
Thank you Vanna for pointing out the scracth mark on the fender here. :)
Here's a parting shot for you of my little brother on his big bad bike. That's Ryan (Chris's friend) Rocket.

Nice bike, Chris. At least he'll save on gas!!! I hope he wears a helmet!
