This is me on Monday making Tara's favorite Christmas treat, Oreo Truffles. She loved them...ate them up like crazy. I'll have to make a batch for her, for her birthdya. Don't you just love my ansemble? Gray yoga pants, old Wartburg college sweatshirt (seriously like probably 10 years old) and my lovely red apron. I'm a messy cook so that apron is my salvation.

The box of cookies and christmas treats that I made. there are a couple items missing but this is pretty much it. It took me a couple days to make all that stuff. I did it in waves because otherwise I never would have had the sanity to do it all in one day nor the time since I had to work.
Pretzel hugs, chocolate chip cookies and peanut butter blossoms (they didn't turn out how I would have liked...pissed me off. I was swearing and cursing in the kitchen. not very "Betty Crocker Lady-like of me" Wait. nobody has ever called me a lady. LOL

I made up 3 boxes of cookies. 1. for the family 2.for my work 3.for Mom's work and I made a little one for Carlotta and her family because she her sister asked for one and because they love my treats.

because I love my Auntie Sheila very much I made her this cake. It is called Hot Chocolate Layer Cake with Homemade Marshmallows. It is completely homemade. The cake, the frosting and the marshmallows. It takes a long time to make and is very tedious and creates mountains of dirty dishes...but because I love her I made it, even though I knew exactly what I was getting into. So here it is my fabulous masterpiece of a cake (maybe). LOL
okay here's one more. a close up. looks so damn tasty. I should have stolen a piece.

I stopped over to Auntie Sheila's today to drop off the cake and took some pics of her house. This one is my favorite. She has blue led lights in her bathroom, they were so bright that I needed sunglasse. LOL
Me before I went out for dinner at Applebee's and before I went to the Legion to watch some pool. Got to chat with my cousin, John Stoltz for a little while. It was good to see him and catch up.

We had our Christmas party at work today. I got a gift card from best buy that was awesome! This is Rusty, my co-worker Carlotta's sister's dog. Did you get that? LOL He is a pomeranian. cute huh? :)
Me and the squeaker. He is 4 today. I bought him this cute little car with a holder that looks like a tire. He liked it.
This is Jack porking down the cake from Byerly's. He took a few licks before his mother got the cake cut and he pulled out his 4 candles and licked them too. He is such a sugar junkie.
This is Gracie (and Uncle Nick in the background). I bought her a puzzle too. It had Pooh on it. One of her favorite characters.
This is me and Santa (Al) at Just One More. Kim, Nick and I did the 12 bars of Christmas in Owatonna. Well, we didn't actually get to all the bars but we tried. :) I think I had a drink at every bar we went to though. I wasn't very drunk though because I had a big dinner. Nick was our sober cab.
Sorry, I didn't get any pictures of Gener's birthday party. I completely forgot. I was so distracted talking to everyone.
After the bars I went to Jamie and Gener's house to party some more. :) This is Nick, Fierke and Jamal I mean Jordan. They are always sitting on the couch together. Interesting isn't it? LOL

I got to watch the midgets for a couple of hours. So we got McDonald's (I can spoil them like that because I'm the Aunt. ha ha!) and headed over to little Kimmie's house then we went to terrorize Auntie Sheila's house. Those kids had a hay day and were eating all the candy in sight.LOL

Then I went bingo-ing with Mom, Auntie Sheila and Thomas. None of us won but the pots were pretty friggin' big.

I got up at the butt-crack of dawn...well it felt like it anyways. Kinda pretty though.
A cool ornament I saw at the Cracker Barrel. They have the cutest stuff. I should have bought it. I usually buy a new ornament every year. What do you think?
Hi! Got my hair cut tonight. Looks pretty damn short. Damn. I like it longer. Ah well...you know one good thing I like about winter? My hair never gets frizzy like it does in summer. It looks nice and glossy usually too. :)

Since it was butt-cold at work Kevy picked us up some warm beverages from Starbucks. The only thing I ever get is a Grande Caramel Apple Cider. Damn it's tasty....and I had to sign Christmas cards today which reminded me I need to get mine out.
On the way home from Just One More. Saw a ton of people I knew. Drove around a couple drunk people I know...LOL they were pretty funny. Talked to Santa Clause for awhile. LOL Al Martin plays Santa and I saw him so I chatted with him for awhile.
Finally home after a night of partying it up. Well, not really. I was sober. I had one drink and the rest of the night I had water. :)

Our pot luck of food. Not too shabby. Some fruit, a cake, cookies, salad, little weenies, ribs and some lasagna.
My black forest cherry cake made with Kirschwasser (Cherry Brandy). I'm not using that recipe again though. The cake didn't turn out very well. I liked it but it wasn't the best cake I've ever made. Ugh...I hate it when I fail.

Tristan singing at the Church service on Sunday. They sang Emmanual, Gentle Gentle Jesus and Go Tell It On the Mountain. He did pretty good. Looked crabby but still sang or lip-synced. I couldn't tell.
Me after church. I wore a black skirt and a green shirt...very Christmas-y I thought. I think I scandalized Auntie Ed though (I sat next to her. She is my 80+ great aunt) My skirt had a slit in it and when I sat down it showed a bit too much skin. Okay, the skirt isn't short it just has a slit for ease in walking so my leg was showing. I kept putting my hand over my leg and my song book too but I think she didn't like that too much. She didn't say anything but I could tell.

12.8.09 - it's butt cold today so appropriately I put in a picture of me in my winter work gear. shin-length wool black coat, long red scarf and red hat. very Christmas-y don't you think?
